Bayer Leverkusen forward, Victor Boniface, is eagerly anticipating Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho. With Victor Osimhen absent, Boniface is poised to play a significant role for the Super Eagles. The 22-year-old has been delivering outstanding performances for Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen this season.
Having scored seven goals and provided five assists in 11 league appearances for Die Werkself, Boniface is determined to translate his club form to the international stage. In an interview with NFF TV after the team’s final training session on Wednesday, he expressed his readiness and focus for the upcoming match.
Boniface stated, “I’m ready and focused; we are determined, so we will see what happens. Training has been really good; we’ve done two trainings in a short time, and every player is focused on the game. I will try to do my best, give 100 per cent and also try to win the game. We can’t wait to see our fans at the stadium because we need their support.”
