Authorities in a community in Tennessee, United States, are currently investigating an incident where a trailer filled with Bibles was deliberately set on fire in front of a church on Easter Sunday. Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries as a result of this incident.
The Mount Juliet Police Department and Fire Department responded promptly to a trailer fire at an intersection obstructing the entrance of the Global Vision Church around 6 a.m. on Sunday. The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office also issued a statement indicating their belief that the fire was intentionally set, although it remains unclear whether the church itself was the target.
In order to maintain the integrity of the ongoing investigation, specific details are not being disclosed at this time. However, the sheriff’s office assured the community that updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
In a statement shared on Facebook, the church’s pastor, Greg Locke, mentioned that the church’s security cameras captured footage of a man dropping off the trailer before igniting it. Despite the unsettling event, Easter services at the church proceeded without interruption, thanks to swift action from both authorities and community members.
