Helicopter Crash: NNPCL gives update on recovery efforts

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) reported that, apart from the three bodies found from the helicopter crash operated by East Winds Aviation in Port Harcourt on Thursday, no further bodies have been recovered. Earlier this week, the incident claimed the lives of about eight individuals when the helicopter went down in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, with three bodies subsequently retrieved.

In a statement on Sunday, NNPCL spokesperson Olufemi Soneye provided an update, indicating that five bodies are still missing. He confirmed that search and rescue operations are currently being ramped up. “We extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to the families affected by this unfortunate event,” he added.
