Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has warned that leaders can be influenced by Satan, stressing that such leaders are likely to fail.
During a Zoom event titled “Boiling Point Arena” on Sunday, hosted by a radio station in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Obasanjo explained that while most leaders are chosen and prepared by God, some may rise to power through satanic influence.
“Most leaders are prepared by God and put in place by Him, increasing their chances of success,” Obasanjo stated. “But I don’t agree that all leaders are made by God. Some can also be made by Satan.”
Citing the biblical account of Job, the former president highlighted Satan’s role in testing humanity under God’s permission, noting that Satan is real and possesses significant power.
“We must recognize that Satan is real. Though he has no salvation to offer, his power should not be underestimated,” Obasanjo concluded, urging caution in discerning the source of leadership.
