Champions League: Real Madrid given 4% chance to qualify for semi-final after Arsenal defeat

According to Opta Analyst, Real Madrid now have just a 4% chance of reaching the Champions League semi-finals.

The reigning champions suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat against Arsenal on Tuesday night at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners delivered a remarkable performance, with Declan Rice scoring two spectacular free-kicks and Mikel Merino adding a well-taken goal to seal the victory.

With a commanding lead, Arsenal head into the second leg at the Santiago Bernabéu in a strong position. Opta now places their chances of advancing to the semi-finals at 96%.

If successful, this would mark Arsenal’s first appearance in the Champions League semi-finals since 2009, when they were knocked out by Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan, who secured a 2-1 win over Bayern Munich in their quarter-final first leg, have been given an 82.4% chance of progressing to the next round.
