The All Progressives Congress (APC) responded to recent criticism from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) regarding the President Bola Tinubu-led administration’s purported delay in paying December salaries to Federal Government workers. The National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Felix Morka, issued a statement asserting that Tinubu’s administration has shown greater sensitivity and dedication to workers’ welfare in its brief tenure than the PDP did during its 16 years in government.
Morka dismissed the PDP’s statement as weak, attempting to depict the administration as undermining the economic wellbeing of Nigerians. He emphasized that the government had already ensured the timely payment of every worker’s rightful earnings. Additionally, Morka highlighted the administration’s commitment to fostering meaningful dialogue and engagement with organized labor, aimed at preventing and resolving disputes. He also mentioned various incentives and palliatives implemented by the present administration.
This response comes after the PDP, represented by its National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, criticized the Tinubu-led administration, accusing it of withholding workers’ December salaries.
