We will hold you responsible for any act of misconduct – Makinde warns PMS officials

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has stated that his administration will hold any official affiliated with the Park Management System (PMS) accountable for any wrongdoing they commit. This assertion was made during the swearing-in ceremony of PMS officials, headed by Alhaji Tomiwa Omolewa.

Speaking at the event held at the House of Chiefs, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, the governor cautioned the newly appointed executive members to maintain law and order in the state. He emphasized that individuals who engage in criminal activities will face consequences for their actions.

Represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Mr Olusegun Olayiwola, Makinde stressed his administration’s zero-tolerance policy towards any disturbances of peace within the state. He urged the PMS Executive Committee to be vigilant in identifying and resolving potential issues that could escalate into violence, assuring them of continued support from the government.

The governor highlighted the importance of parks as spaces for recreation, relaxation, and community gatherings, emphasizing the responsibility of park managers to uphold these values. He warned against unlawful activities such as substance abuse within the parks, affirming the state’s commitment to maintaining order and safety.
