American rapper, Lil Durk reveals plans to hold ‘free’ concert in Nigeria

American rapper and singer, Durk Derrick Banks, widely known as Lil Durk, has announced intentions to organize a concert in Nigeria without charges.

The artist, famous for his track ‘All My Life,’ was initially slated to perform at an event in Lagos this December but encountered an unforeseen issue that prevented his attendance.

Sharing his response on his X handle on Saturday morning, the rapper clarified that the absence was beyond his control. He expressed affection for Nigeria and assured fans of a complimentary concert in the country in the near future.

In his message, Lil Durk stated, “I have to make it up with a free show for Nigeria, even if it wasn’t my fault [for missing the December event]. You all are my family, and I’ve got you forever.”

Lil Durk enjoys a devoted following among Nigerian youths, particularly within the Gen Z demographic. His recent track, ‘All My Life,’ featuring J.Cole, swiftly climbed to the number one spot on Apple Music Nigeria within 24 hours of its release.
