The Oganihu Ndom Umuakali-elu Women Association in Naze Autonomous Community of Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria has geared up ahead of the forthcoming annual August meeting with an official unveiling of their uniform.

The event which took place on Saturday, July 30, 2022 saw the beautiful wives of Naze sons gather at the Obi Ihebom’s compound to pride their turquoise green lace-wrapper before their husbands and guests who in return appreciated the initiative.

In her welcome address, President of the Oganihu Ndom Umuakali-elu Association Ezinne Stella Njoku noted that the occasion was aimed at meeting up with the directive of the Aladinma Ndom Naze Central body, where the Umuakali-elu and Umuanyahu women were told to come up with one uniform to show the love and unity which exist among them.

While the Umuanyanhu women had unveiled theirs sometime last year, the Umuakali-elu women had their own launching delayed as a result of some logistics which needed to be put in place before they eventually did the needful.

Ezinne Stella also hinted all present that the launching of the special uniform was for Peace, progress and unity which the “ONE NAZE MAN, AT A TIME” slogan represented and charged all women present to be role models in all their endeavours.

An event of such magnitude would be incomplete without the royal blessing of the Eze of Naze, as Eze Francis Ogbonna who was not on ground was ably represented by the Eze’s cabinet Public Relations Officer Chief (Comrade) Joseph L. Odoekwu who did well by assuring the women of the full support of the Eze’s cabinet and the government of Imo State at large.

Chairman of the occasion Chief Emeka Amadi who could not make it was ably represented by his brother Mr. Lucky Amadi. He conveyed to the Oganihu Ndom Umuakali-elu Association the good message from his brother while still assuring them of massive support in all their future endeavours.

Also present was one of Naze’s business magnates, Chief Don-ben Oleforoh (KSM), who was the Chief Launcher of the occasion. Don-ben, as he is popularly called did not only give a financial boost to meet up with the women’s expectation, but he re-assured them that he was solidly behind them.

Others who were present at the event were the acting chairman of the Umuakali-elu Development Union, Mr. Julius Ihebom, Umuakali-elu Youth Chairman Prince Onyeneke, Vice Chairman Chukwuma Amadi, Youth Secretary Charlie Urewuji, immediate Youth Chairman Mr. Victor Ekeada and Kenneth Urewuji amongst others.

The Oganihu Umuakali-elu women are now ready to attend this year’s August meeting, which kicks-off on Monday, August 8th 2022 and ends with a special Church Thanksgiving on Sunday, August 14th at the various churches of the participants.
