BREAKING: Cabinet reshuffle: Ministers discharged, not sacked — Presidency

The Presidency has clarified the recent cabinet reshuffle by President Bola Tinubu.

Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, stated that the ministers were not “sacked” but rather “discharged.”

In an interview with TVC, Onanuga emphasized that the term “sacked” does not accurately reflect their exit.

“Ministers were not sacked; they were discharged,” he reiterated.

The reshuffle saw seven ministers leave, while seven new appointments were made. Those affected included Uju-Ken Ohanenye (Women Affairs), Lola Ade-John (Tourism), Tahir Mamman (Education), Abdullahi Gwarzo (Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development), and Jamila Ibrahim (Youth Development).
