Former Presidential Aide, Dr. Doyin Okupe, Passes Away at 72
Renowned Nigerian politician, Dr. Doyin Okupe, has reportedly passed away at the age of 72.
According to reports, he died on Friday morning after battling a prolonged illness, suspected to be cancer.
In 2022, Okupe was appointed as the Director-General of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign for the 2023 election. However, he later stepped down following a court conviction related to alleged money laundering.
Sources close to the family revealed that he had been critically ill in the weeks leading up to his passing.
