BREAKING: ECOWAS defence chiefs meet in Abuja

The Chiefs of Defence Staff from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) are currently convened at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja.

The meeting, chaired by General Christopher Musa, Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff and Chairman of the ECOWAS Committee of Chiefs of Defence Staff, includes Minister of Defence Mohammed Badaru, Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Tuggar, and Senate Committee on Defence Chairman Ahmed Lawan.

Also present are the Chairman of the House Committee on Defence, a representative of the National Security Adviser, various service chiefs, and the Chiefs of Defence Staff from other ECOWAS countries, excluding Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger. Further details will be provided soon.
