BREAKING: Emefiele arrives court for fresh arraignment

Former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor Godwin Emefiele is currently facing arraignment at the Ikeja High Court in Lagos.

The ex-governor of the apex bank is accused of misusing his position and appropriating billions of dollars for personal gain.

Emefiele, along with his co-defendant Henry Isioma Omole, is set to face 26 fresh charges before Justice Rahman Oshodi today.

According to the charge filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on April 3, 2024, marked ID/23787c/2024, Emefiele allegedly abused his authority between 2022 and 2023.
