Miscreants have assaulted a BUA truck transporting crates of spaghetti at the Dogarawa section of the Zaria-Kano expressway. The incident, happening approximately at 3:15 pm, witnessed the perpetrators absconding with the entire load of spaghetti.
As per a bystander, the driver had stopped the truck by the roadside for prayer when the miscreants struck, plundering all the spaghetti crates before fleeing.
This occurrence follows a similar attack just a week prior, where miscreants hijacked trailers carrying food supplies in the Suleja vicinity of Niger State, pilfering bags of rice and other provisions amid widespread hardship in the nation.
Eyewitnesses reported that a police squad dispatched to the scene managed to apprehend five suspects implicated in the crime.
The eyewitness lamented the incident, describing it as unfortunate and unprecedented in the area where he has conducted business for over a decade.
“The miscreants left not a single crate of spaghetti on the truck,” the source further commented.
