BREAKING: Senate confirms 11 Justices for Supreme Court

On Thursday, the Senate officially ratified the appointment of 11 new Justices to the Supreme Court. This confirmation came after a thorough review of the report provided by the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights, and Legal Matters. The Senate endorsed the committee’s recommendation following its evaluation of the nominees.

Senator Mohammed Monguno, the chairman of the committee representing Borno North, presented the report to the Senate. The nominees, proposed by the National Judicial Council (NJC), were put forward to fill the vacancies created by the demise and resignation of certain Supreme Court Justices. President Bola Tinubu had formally requested the Senate’s confirmation for these 11 nominees on December 20th.
