Cherubim and Seraphim church loses spiritual leader, Baba Aladura

The spiritual leader and Chairman of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement, Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye, has passed away.

Prophet Abidoye died on Sunday morning around 10:00 am at the age of 103 in his Ilorin residence, located in the Kwara state capital.

The announcement of his death was made by the church’s Secretary-General, Special Apostle Ademola Odetundun.

Odetundun described the final moments of Prophet Abidoye, stating that after having breakfast and while getting ready for the church service, he decided to take a rest and peacefully passed away.

According to Odetundun’s statement, details regarding the burial arrangements for the spiritual leader will be communicated at a later time.

Fondly known as Baba Aladura, Prophet Abidoye was born on June 26 as a Prince in Omu Aran, Irepodun Local Government of Kwara State. His father, Odetundun Abegunde, held the title of Oba Olomu of Omu Aran in what was then Ilorin Province.
