CSO Urges Federal, State Govts To Support SMEs

To bolster the advancement of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria, Forward Ever Initiative, a civil society organization, has advocated for collaboration between the federal and state governments and the Global Youth Skills Acquisition and Poverty Eradication Organization (GYSAPEO).

Ahmed Bello, the National Coordinator of the CSO, emphasized during a press conference in Abuja on Monday, the importance of such partnership due to the GYSAPEO Market Money Scheme’s commitment to alleviating the hardships faced by Nigerians, particularly SME owners.

“As a civil society organization, we have observed the effectiveness of the GYSAPEO Market Money Scheme under the leadership of Dr. Emmanuel Chuks Ozegbe, which provides a conducive environment for SMEs to prosper and expand their operations,” Bello stated.

He further acknowledged GYSAPEO’s longstanding dedication to supporting and empowering small businesses, affirming its unwavering commitment to this cause.

“We urge the Federal Government to collaborate with the GYSAPEO Market Money Scheme to promptly allocate the necessary funds for the project, thereby easing the burdens of Nigerians and fostering the growth of SMEs,” Bello concluded.
