Dangote Petroleum Refinery has formally requested approval from the Nigerian Government to supply the local market with diesel and other petroleum products, as indicated in a statement released over the weekend. The company is awaiting approval from the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), the regulatory agency responsible for overseeing midstream and downstream petroleum operations in Nigeria.

In the statement, the refinery announced the commencement of diesel and aviation fuel production, with plans to introduce these products to the market within the current month upon receiving the necessary regulatory approvals.
