A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck central Iran on Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
Reports indicate that the quake hit the Natanz area of Isfahan, where a key Iranian nuclear site is located.
The USGS stated that the earthquake’s epicenter was 30 kilometers northwest of Ardestan, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The tremor was recorded at approximately 10:23 AM local time in Iran.
While authorities have yet to release detailed information on potential casualties, reports suggest that many buildings were destroyed.
