Economic hardship: Let firstborns breathe – Singer Simi tells Nigerians

Simisola Kosoko, popularly known as Simi, has advised Nigerian families to ease up on their excessive expectations from their firstborns. She emphasized that being the firstborn does not imply an obligation to cater to every financial need of family members. Simi, who is a mother herself, expressed concern that some firstborns are experiencing panic attacks due to constant demands from relatives.

In her X handle post, Simi urged families to allow their firstborns some space and not burden them with everyone’s responsibilities. She highlighted that many firstborns might harbor negative feelings but are unable to express them openly. Simi encouraged firstborns to learn how to say no and establish boundaries to ensure they also experience peace in their lives.
