Joe Igbokwe, a leader within the All Progressives Congress (APC), has condemned politicians who he believes are using vulnerable children for their own selfish political interests.
His comments come in response to the public outcry over the arraignment of minors arrested in August during protests against hunger.
Agenda Newspapper reports that the minors were brought to court and granted bail of N10 million each on Friday, with the case postponed until January 2025.
In a Saturday Facebook post, Igbokwe blamed the situation on politicians who incited the protests.
He wrote, “It is wrong and reprehensible to use the children of others for political maneuvering while your own are studying at elite universities worldwide.
“Do you think you can jeopardize the futures of other people’s children and ensure your own succeed? Wake up; Karma still exists.”
