On Tuesday night, Chelsea suffered a 5-0 defeat against Arsenal in the Premier League, breaking two unwanted records in the process.
The Blues surpassed their own record for the highest number of league goals conceded in a single season. Goals from Leandro Trossard, Ben White (twice), and Kai Havertz (twice) helped Arsenal secure a three-point lead at the top of the table.
This loss marked Chelsea’s 11th defeat in the league this season. Additionally, Mauricio Pochettino’s side has conceded 57 goals in the league so far, setting a new record for the highest number of goals conceded in a single Premier League campaign. Despite having six games remaining, Chelsea has already surpassed their previous record.
