Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has highlighted three Chelsea players—Raheem Sterling, Conor Gallagher, and Cole Palmer—following a 4-4 draw in the Premier League on Sunday.
Guardiola observed as both teams shared a point each at Stamford Bridge with goals from Thiago Silva, Raheem Sterling, Nicolas Jackson, Cole Palmer, Erling Haaland (2), Rodri, and Manuel Akanji Rodri.
During his post-match press conference, Guardiola commended Sterling, Palmer, and Gallagher for their ability to run and defend against the opponent.
“When you pass the ball to Raheem, Cole, or Gallagher and they can run, you defend in the box,” Guardiola remarked. He also mentioned adjusting tactics at halftime to address challenges faced in the first half.
Despite the draw against Chelsea, Manchester City maintains the top position in the Premier League table with 28 points from 12 games. They are one point ahead of Liverpool in second place and Arsenal in third.
