Portugal captain, Cristiano Ronaldo has reacted to his penalty miss in their victory over Slovenia at the ongoing Euro 2024 tournament.
The Al Nassr forward opened up on his feelings after Jan Oblak saved a crucial penalty that could have prevented the game going into penalty shootout.
Ronaldo fumbled a chance to give his team the lead after Slovenia gave away a penalty in the 105th minute.
Speaking in the post-match press conference to Sport TV, Ronaldo said, “Inexplicable moments, eight and eighty, that’s what happened today.
“I have to review it, I don’t know if I shot well or badly.”
The 39-year-old further reminded the fans that this was his first miss throughout the year.
The 39-year-old added, “I didn’t miss once during the year and, when they needed it most, Oblak saved.”
