Ex-governor’s son reportedly dies in Kaduna road accident

Faisal Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, the son of former Kaduna State Governor Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, has passed away. According to a report by Daily Trust, a family member, who wished to remain anonymous, confirmed that Faisal died following a car accident.

The report states that the accident occurred on the Kaduna-Zaria highway on Saturday evening. “The accident happened along the Kaduna-Zaria road this evening. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His father was present at the hospital, and the body has been taken home for burial,” the source said.

This is the second loss to hit a prominent Nigerian family this weekend. DAILY POST reports that Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), also lost his 23-year-old daughter, Fatima, on Friday.
