Ex-Senate President, Lawan reacts to fire incidents in Yobe

Former Senate President Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan has expressed deep sympathy for the victims of the recent fire outbreaks that have devastated several communities in Machina, Nguru, and Yusufari Local Government Areas of Yobe State.

In a personally signed statement on Monday, Lawan described the incidents as tragic, highlighting the significant losses and hardships they have caused.

“My thoughts and prayers are with all those affected during this difficult period,” he stated.

Lawan emphasized the importance of unity and collective support in times of crisis, urging everyone to come together to provide relief and assistance to those in need.

“As your representative in the National Assembly, I am dedicated to ensuring that the affected communities receive the necessary support to rebuild their lives,” he added.

To aid in the recovery efforts, Lawan donated N27 million and 300 bags of rice for distribution to the victims. The donation is intended to complement the relief efforts of the Yobe State government, providing immediate support to affected families.

He further assured that he remains committed to advocating for preventive measures to minimize the risk of similar incidents in the future.
