A segment of the Lagos State Blue Line rail track has been set on fire.
The incident took place on Saturday near NEPA Station, by Eko Bridge, towards Apogbon.
Gboyega Akosile, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, confirmed that there were no reported injuries.
In his post on X, Akosile noted: “A fire outbreak occurred on a small section of the Lagos Blue Line track opposite NEPA Station by Eko Bridge at 4:12 pm. Thankfully, there were no casualties, and no trains were operating at the time.
“A team of safety and emergency responders has fully extinguished the fire.
“Residents in that area can carry on with their activities peacefully, as the situation is now under control.
