Gombe gov seeks Nigerian Govt’s intervention on dilapidated roads

Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has intensified his appeals for Federal Government intervention to address the poor condition of federal roads in the state.

The governor also highlighted the deteriorating state of federal roads connecting Gombe to neighboring states.

Yahaya, who also chairs the Northern States Governors’ Forum, recently met with the Minister of Works, David Umahi, in Abuja for the second time in a series of meetings focused on road rehabilitation.

The dilapidated roads in question include Gombe-Bauchi, Gombe-Dukku-Darazo, Gombe-Biu, and Gombe-Bajoga-Potiskum.

According to Yahaya, these roads are crucial for regional development and national connectivity.

In response, Umahi noted that this effort aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda,’ which aims to improve infrastructure, stimulate economic growth, and enhance the quality of life for citizens.
