Hardship: Abiodun Announces N5bn Special Intervention For Ogun People


The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has announced a special intervention plan worth N5 billion for the residents of Ogun State. This initiative is part of the measures undertaken by his administration to alleviate the impact of the current economic challenges faced by the state.

During an urgent press briefing held Wednesday evening at the Aremo Olusegun Osoba Press Center situated within the premises of the Governor’s Office in Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, Governor Abiodun disclosed that the intervention package will encompass education, healthcare, food assistance, and the welfare of civil servants in the state.

The governor outlined that financially disadvantaged students attending both public primary and secondary schools will receive a one-time intervention payment of N10,000 each, while financially disadvantaged students enrolled in public tertiary institutions will receive a sum of N50,000 each along with educational materials.
