‘He was there with fans, not inside bulletproof cabin’ – Charly Boy hails Obi for attending Eagles’ match

Charly Boy, the unconventional musician, whose real name is Charles Oputa, has praised Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), for attending Nigeria’s 1-0 victory over Angola at the ongoing African Cup of Nations in the fans’ stand on Friday.

According to a report from DAILY POST, Obi was in Abidjan, the capital of Cote d’Ivoire, to witness the Super Eagles’ quarterfinal match against Angola. In his response on Saturday, Charly Boy commended the former governor of Anambra State for choosing to be in the fan stand rather than inside a “bulletproof cabin.”

Charly Boy shared a video clip of Obi at the fans’ stand during the match and expressed his approval, writing, “Nigeria vs Angola Quarter Finals, he was there live with fans, not inside a bulletproof cabin. 1-0. We move.”
