Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has pledged to continue the impactful initiatives initiated by his late predecessor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu. Aiyedatiwa made this commitment during a candlelight procession organized by the Ondo State chapter of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) to honor the late Akeredolu at the Government House in Akure on Friday night.
He lauded Akeredolu as a courageous legal expert and a devoted leader, acknowledging the late governor’s unwavering dedication to justice and public service, which earned him the affectionate title of “Senior Advocate of the Masses.”
Expressing gratitude for the tribute paid to Akeredolu during the candlelight procession, Aiyedatiwa commended the genuine love demonstrated by the NBA members, emphasizing that their actions were not mere formality but a heartfelt expression. He assured that the administration would see to the completion of all ongoing projects initiated by the late governor.
Aiyedatiwa appealed for continuous prayers, recognizing the challenging time and urging people to pray for the fortitude to cope with the loss. He emphasized the significance of ongoing support, stating, “All you can do for us right now is to continue to pray for us that God should grant all of us the fortitude to bear this loss.”
