The National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, met with heads of security agencies in Ondo State to discuss strategies for a seamless governorship election on November 16.
The meeting, held under the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES), reviewed potential issues that could disrupt the election and identified flashpoints across the 18 local government areas. Yakubu assured residents of a hitch-free electoral process and urged politicians to play by the rules, noting that over 200,000 Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) remain uncollected in the state.
