JAMB Releases Additional 3,921 UTME Results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released an additional 3,921 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results that were previously withheld for investigation.

JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, announced this in a press statement yesterday, adding that 24,535 candidates have been rescheduled to retake the exam in their chosen towns on Saturday, June 22, 2024.

Additionally, the Board extended the registration period for the 2024 Direct Entry (DE), now closing on Monday, June 17, 2024.

The statement read, “The Board has meticulously analyzed the 2024 UTME process in certain centers with substantial non-compliance with the Board’s standards. As a result, 24,535 candidates will retake the exam on Saturday, June 22, 2024, in their selected towns.

“Meanwhile, 3,921 cleared 2024 UTME results have been released. Affected candidates can check their results from Saturday, June 1, 2024, by sending RESULT to 55019 or 66019. Cleared candidates will receive their results, while those rescheduled will be informed of the new exam date.

“Rescheduled candidates should print their supplementary Examination Notification Slip from Tuesday, June 4, 2024, to know their designated centers.

“This release brings the total number of released results to 1,883,350.

The rescheduled exam on Saturday, June 22, 2024, allows affected candidates ample preparation time. This notice does not apply to candidates whose results have already been released.

“Candidates with clear cases of exam misconduct will undergo further investigation to determine their culpability, followed by appropriate measures,” the statement concluded.
