Judgement Day: Kano, Bauchi, Zamfara, Plateau, Ebonyi govs arrive Supreme Court

A minimum of five incumbent governors have entered the Supreme Court to witness the anticipated verdicts in their individual legal battles. Among them are Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano, Bala Mohammed of Bauchi, Caleb Mutfaang of Plateau, Dauda Lawal of Zamfara, and Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi. Additionally, former Plateau State governor and current senator, Simon Lalong, is present in the courtroom for the crucial judgment.

As expected, the governors arrived at the courtroom accompanied by a significant number of supporters, who, however, were promptly turned away after escorting their leaders inside. At the time of this report, the courtroom is filled with lawyers, journalists, and accredited leaders of political parties.

Meanwhile, the justices are awaited to enter the courtroom to deliver the judgments. The states where the governors are anxiously anticipating decisions regarding their continued tenure are Kano, Plateau, Bauchi, Cross River, Abia, Zamfara, Cross River, and Ebonyi.
