JUST IN: Kano APC counter Ganduje’s purported suspension, Sack Ward leaders

The Kano state working committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has taken decisive action against certain Ward Party Leaders who attempted to suspend the National Chairman of the Party, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje.

Reports indicated that the APC Ganduje ward in Dawakin Tofa Local Government purportedly suspended Ganduje, but the party’s local government officials swiftly intervened to nullify the suspension and remove those responsible.

According to Inusa Dawanau, the APC Dawakin Tofa Local Government Chairman, those involved in the attempt to suspend the National Chairman were found engaging in anti-party activities, and evidence of their meetings with opposition members was uncovered.

In response to the suspension initiated by the APC Ward leaders, the state working committee of the Party announced sanctions against the perpetrators for a period of six months. Additionally, a special investigations panel has been established to investigate various allegations against them.

Abdullahi Abbas, the Kano Chairman of the Party, stated that the decisions made by the local government Party Leaders have been officially endorsed.

Abbas remarked, “We have evidence of meetings between state government officials and those responsible for the suspension of the National Chairman. The state working committee has unanimously agreed to suspend them for six months.”

However, one of the individuals accused of being against Ganduje, Halliru Gwanjo, explained that their decision to suspend him from the party was prompted by bribery allegations leveled against him by the Kano State government.
