
President Bola Tinubu has given the nod for DCG Kemi Nanna Nandap to assume the role of Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), starting March 1, 2024. As per a statement by Presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale on Wednesday, DCG Nandap will succeed Mrs. Caroline Wura-Ola Adepoju, whose tenure ends on February 29, 2024.
Prior to her appointment as Comptroller-General, Nandap served as the Deputy Comptroller-General overseeing the Migration Directorate of the Service. Ngelale expressed the President’s expectation that the new Comptroller-General will advance the ongoing reforms within the service and establish a robust framework for efficient and dedicated service provision to Nigerians. Additionally, he emphasized the need for strengthening national security through proactive and effective border security measures and migration management.
