Kogi Chief Judge tasks leaders on peace, security in Nigeria

The Chief Judge of Kogi State, Justice Josiah Majebi, has urged leaders in Nigeria to actively advocate for peace and security. Majebi conveyed this message during a meeting with traditional, community, and religious leaders at his residence in Ageva, Okene, on Thursday.

He emphasized that issues of peace and security are closely intertwined and should not be taken lightly by leaders, especially when the economic well-being of their constituents is a top priority.

The Chief Judge expressed his desire for Nigeria to overcome challenges such as insecurity and persistent unemployment. He asserted that leaders should consistently focus on the advantages of ensuring peace for their followers. Majebi highlighted that a peaceful environment is crucial for the development and prosperity of the youth, who constitute the workforce of society.

Majebi underscored the importance of leaders placing a continuous emphasis on the proper upbringing of children to foster a productive and peaceful environment, free from criminal activities.
