Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly called MC Oluomo has been appointed as the chairman of Parks Management Committee by the Lagos State government.
MC Oluomo’s appointment was confirmed in a statement by the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso.
The statement was titled, “Lagos Government sets up Parks Management Committee”.
The State government said the appointment was in fulfilment of the government’s promise to ensure that events in the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) were not allowed to threaten law and order in the State.
He said that ensuring peace in the State was a duty the government owed all residents and visitors.
Also, a former Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, was appointed as the Liaison Officer between the government and the committee.
An ex-Permanent Secretary, Dr. Taiwo Salaam, was also appointed as the secretary of the committee, while Sulyman Ojora was appointed as the Deputy Chairman.
According to him, members of the committee have been selected following consultations with stakeholders in the sector.
The committee members include: Mr Hakeem Odumosu (AIG Rtd), as Government Liaison Officer; Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya – Chairman; Alhaji Sulyman Ojora – Deputy Chairman, Dr. Taiwo Olufemi Salaam – Secretary.
Recall that MC Oluomo was on Wednesday sacked as the Lagos chairman of NURTW.
