Messi names favorite goals of his career

Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi has identified his cherished goals in his illustrious career, highlighting his strikes in the Champions League and World Cup finals as some of his favorites. Messi, who recently secured his eighth Ballon d’Or following Argentina’s World Cup victory last December, clinched the award ahead of competitors like Erling Haaland from Manchester City and Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain.

During a conversation with France Football, Messi was asked to single out his preferred goal from his impressive tally of over 800 career goals. The seasoned forward responded, “Well, I always say that special goals are the important thing to have scored in the Champions League final, to have now scored in the final of the World Cup.”

He went on to say, “I don’t know, a goal that I always remember and I don’t focus solely on the goal and its significance. It’s the goal against Real Madrid when we defeated them 2-0 in that Champions League semi-final at the Bernabeu. The most significant goals are the ones that matter the most.”
