The Federal Government has declared its commitment to enhancing the welfare of minors arrested for their alleged roles in the #EndBadGovernance protests across the nation.
This was stated by Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, on Friday.
Earlier in the day, several minors collapsed at the Federal High Court in Abuja, showing signs of malnutrition after three months in custody.
The court later granted them bail, requiring N10 million each.
Olawande noted that the ministry is “working with the Ministry of Interior to investigate the situation and improve the conditions for these young individuals, not only in this instance but in all detention centers throughout the country.”
The statement reassured the public of the Ministry’s commitment to the well-being and rights of young Nigerians wherever they may be.
