NYSC deploys 1,689 corps members to Bauchi

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has deployed 1,689 corps members to Bauchi State for the 2023 Batch ‘C’ stream II orientation exercise, as confirmed by Mrs. Rifkatu Yakubu, the Coordinator of the scheme in the state. The orientation for these corps members is scheduled to take place from November 24 to December 14 at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Wailo, Ganjuwa Local Government Area of the state.

Mrs. Yakubu emphasized that each prospective corps member would only be allowed into the camp after proper certification, part of the security measures in place to prevent intrusion or impersonation. Registration dates have been assigned to the corps members, and adherence to camp rules and regulations is strongly advised, with sanctions for defaulters in line with NYSC by-laws.

The NYSC Coordinator also highlighted the scheme’s disapproval of late-night journeys, urging prospective corps members to avoid them. She emphasized the importance of punctuality, diligence, and compliance with the camp’s acceptable dress code, with a warning that negligence of the NYSC dressing code would not be tolerated.
