Ondo 2024: Governor Adeleke urges Osun indigenes to support Ajayi

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has called on Osun indigenes living in Ondo State to vote for Agboola Ajayi, the PDP candidate, in the upcoming November 16 gubernatorial election.

This call comes after the indigenes in Ondo declared their support for Ajayi. Adeleke made the appeal during a campaign visit to Ondo State on Tuesday, where he joined Ajayi’s tour of various local governments in the state.

While in Akure, the state capital, Adeleke was warmly received by Osun indigenes. Speaking to the crowd, the governor encouraged them to rally behind the PDP candidate to ensure victory. He also urged them to cast their votes for the party and remain steadfast with their votes on election day.

Adeleke said, “In just two years, we have accomplished what others couldn’t in 12 years in Osun. The election has arrived, and it’s time to tell them we support your ‘governor’ (Ajayi). We’ve brought progress to Osun, and if we trust in God, Agboola Ajayi will bring the same progress to Ondo. He has the experience, especially at the grassroots level.”

He added, “I’m here to support my brother, Agboola Ajayi. Everything is working well in Osun, and we want to bring that success to Ondo. The PDP is the only party with a progressive agenda. Go out and vote, and stand by your votes.”

In response, Agboola Ajayi thanked the people of Osun for their unwavering support and pledged to deliver the benefits of democracy to all residents of Ondo State if elected.

Kehinde Ayinla, Chairman of the Osun State Indigenes in Ondo, also expressed confidence in Ajayi’s candidacy, noting his deep understanding of both the state’s issues and the needs of its people. Ayinla assured that Osun indigenes across all 18 local government areas in Ondo would turn out in large numbers to vote for Ajayi.
