Paul Okoye, aka Rudeboy, of the music duo PSquare, has accused his twin brother Peter Okoye (Mr. P) and their producer of allegedly taking credit for his song. Rudeboy’s allegations came shortly after Mr. P released “Winning,” following the third split of the group earlier this year.
In an Instagram post, Rudeboy claimed he had written and performed the song with a certain producer, only for it to end up being recorded by his twin. He alleged that Mr. P recorded the song “word for word” with the same producer he had worked with.
Rudeboy further expressed his dissatisfaction, revealing he had provided six songs to their management and questioned why his work was being copied exactly. He posted, “Song title: Winning, written and sung by Rudeboy, produced by the same producer. Now what? Am I supposed to release another version?”
In another Instagram story, he vowed to release the original versions of any of his songs that he noticed being re-recorded, saying, “No more manipulation! And to the management—if I hear any song with just my vocals, I’ll put out the original. Music isn’t that hard!”
