Chairmen of the People’s Democratic Party in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State, Geoffrey Ihentuge and his Ohaji/Egbema Local government Area counterpart, Emeka Alihe appear to be the first set of casualties of the supremacy battle in the state chapter of the Party.
Rising from an emergency meeting of the Party, held in Egbema, in Egbema Local Government Area of the State, two-thirds of the members of the Local Government Executive Committee passed a resolution, suspending the Chairman of the Local Government Area, over allegations of constitutional violation and financial impropriety.

“Whereas he has failed to account for the sum of Five Million Naira (N5m), being party funds.”
“Whereas the undersigned 2/3rd members of the LGA officers and Ward chairmen met today 17th November 2022 and resolved as follows:
“That we hereby pass a vote of absolute no confidence on Mr. Emeka Alihe”
