PDP Postpones Inauguration of Edo Governorship Election Campaign Council Indefinitely

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the indefinite postponement of the inauguration of its Edo State Governorship Election National Campaign Council, which was previously scheduled to take place on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. According to the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, the postponement is a result of the ongoing industrial action embarked upon by Labour unions across the country, which has brought government and private businesses in Abuja to a standstill.

In a statement released on Monday in Abuja, Ologunagba assured that a new date for the inauguration will be communicated in due course. He also encouraged all members of the campaign council, party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters in Edo State and nationwide to continue their efforts towards ensuring the success of the party and its governorship candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, in the upcoming election on September 21, 2024.
