Police recruitment: Be wary of imposters – NPF warns candidates

The Nigeria Police Force has issued a cautionary message to candidates shortlisted in the 2022 constables recruitment exercise, advising them to be cautious of fraudulent individuals.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP. Mohammed Usaini Gumel, delivered this warning during an address to applicants at the Police Officers’ Mess in Bompai, Kano. He urged the candidates to be vigilant against impostors who falsely represent themselves as members of the Police Recruitment Board with the intention of deceiving unsuspecting applicants.

CP. Gumel emphasized the presence of deceptive individuals claiming association with the Police Recruitment Board and asserted that the Police Command is well-prepared to apprehend and prosecute anyone engaging in fraudulent activities related to the recruitment process.

He reminded the candidates of the importance of adhering to the directives of the Inspector-General of Police and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission. The Commissioner stressed the need for strict adherence to established rules during the screening process for candidates.
