Manchester United superstar striker, Christiano Ronaldo has slammed the club for what he described as betrayal of his trust.
37-year-old Ronaldo told a sports broadcast Journalists, Pierce Morgan that some persons allegedly want him out of Man Utd for reasons he does not understand.
Ronaldo has not been enjoying playing time under the Club’s new manager, Erik Ten Hag, and his push for a move away from the club to partake in the champion’s league has drawn many reactions from different persons including his former teammate, Wayne Rooney.
He said he doesn’t understand why he is being criticized by Wayne Rooney.
‘‘Yes, not only the coach, but another two or three guys around the club. I felt betrayed.
‘‘People should listen to the truth. Yes, I felt betrayed, and I felt like some people don’t want me here, not only this year but last year too.”
The Man United forward also said he has not seen any development in the club since 2013, after the departure of the first manager that brought him to England, Sir Alex Ferguson.
”Nothing had changed,” he said. “I love Manchester United. I love the fans, they’re always on my side. But if they want to do it different… they have to change many, many things.”
Christiano Ronaldo has not featured for Man Utd since November 6, when Aston Villa defeated Man U 3-1.
