Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has approved N45,000 in financial assistance for each employee under the State Unified Local Government Service and Local Education Authorities ahead of the Eid-l-Kabir Sallah celebration. This was disclosed by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, who explained that the gesture is intended to alleviate the financial burden on civil servants during the festive period.
According to the statement, the financial support is divided into two parts: a N30,000 loan/advance to be repaid in three installments of N10,000 per month over July, August, and September, and a N15,000 Sallah gift to ensure that each worker can participate in the Eid-l-Kabir festivities without financial strain.
Katsina State Head of Service, Malam Falalu Bawale, expressed gratitude for the governor’s initiative, noting that the financial assistance will provide relief to numerous households and enable them to celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid.
