Arsenal Football Club has defeated Chelsea by a lone goal to leap-frog Manchester City to the top of the English Premier League table.
Gabriel gave Arsenal the lead after pouncing on a loose ball and steering it over the line in the 63rd minute, after the hosts failed to deal with Bukayo Saka’s corner from the right wing.
Arsenal made their intention known from the beginning of the encounter by dominating all areas of the field forcing the home team, Chelsea to stay in their own half.
The first half saw the two teams missing some chances but Arsenal deserved to have taken the lead before the end of the first 45minutes.
Arsenal’s former Captain, Aubameyang started against his old club in a Chelsea shirt and got booked for a dangerous tackle on Arsenal’s Ben White in the 27th minute.
Chelsea struggled to create clear-cut chances and are now without a win in four Premier League matches.
Arsenal now sit at the top of the log with 34points, two points above Manchester City, who are second with 32points after 13matches each.
