It was gathered that the senior lawyer was informed that the trial was for noon as opposed to 10am, as claimed by Kanu’s lawyer.

Meanwhile, a retinue of operatives from the Department of State Services, DSS have taken control of the security of the court premises and the roads leading to the court to avoid possible breakdown of law and and order.

Kanu is already inside the courtroom exchanging pleasantries with his lawyers and family members.

All lawyers and litigants seeking to enter the court premises are being thoroughly frisked to prevent dangerous materials from being brought inside.
